4. Do you offer a guarantee that I'll get a job or internship?
We'll create the best resume possible for you, but we can't guarantee you a job. Resumes are a critical piece of the job search puzzle, but there are too many other factors involved for us to be able to make job offer guarantees.
5. Who will write my resume?
One of our executive resume writers will write or rewrite your resume. Once you sign up, you'll be assigned to work 1-on-1 with a dedicated writer. Once you and your writer have finalized the content, a separate 2-person team will thoroughly proofread your resume and cover letter, catching and correcting any typos, grammar errors, or design issues.
6. What work is required of me during “pre-resume” process?
We encourage clients to complete a questionnaire worksheet that helps to identify relevant skills, job descriptions, and achievements. While this step does take quality time to do well, the worksheet questionnaire makes things as easy as possible and is very effective at helping you understand your unique selling points -- which in turn helps with interviews and career advancement. After the worksheet questionnaire is complete, your writer may interview you by phone to dig into the details further. Beyond this, your only job is to provide feedback on your new resume and cover letter.
7. Can I speak with my writer by phone during “pre-resume” process?
Yes. All customers get phone interview with their writer, which typically takes 30 minutes. Our writers will use this call to learn more about your skills, experience, and career goals.
8. How long will it take to get my resume?
We strive to finalize a client's resume within 7 business days from the time they return our resume information worksheet questionnaire. If you are quick to respond to our questions and drafts, we can likely finalize documents in less than 7 business days. We do not offer a rush service at this time.
9. What if I go over my allotted hours?
This rarely happens, because we have a very well-structured process that keeps things on track. And because we only work with the best resume writers, you avoid the endless back-and-forth conversation. As long as you give us the information we request up front, you won't go over. If for some reason you need more hours, we will charge you extra.
10. How many rounds of revisions can I make to my resume after it's rewritten?
We do not have a set limit to the number of revisions you can make to your resume after it's rewritten. Typically we need 2-3 rounds to make the resume the best they can be. We do have a limit to the number of hours customers receive, but as noted above, it's very unlikely that you'll exceed your hours.
11 What if I don't like the resume you write for me?
Given that we have only the best resume writers, it is highly unlikely that you will dislike your whole resume after we rewrite it. However, it's quite possible that you will see ways to improve specific sections (you're the expert on you, after all), and we build in plenty of time to work with you on revisions. At the end of the process, if you're not 100% satisfied, we'll refund your money in full.
12. What kind of cover letter will I get?
If you want employers to read your cover letter, it needs to be concise and tailored to that specific employer and job description. Generic cover letters get ignored, no matter how well they're written. We encourage our clients to give us a job description for a position they're interested in, so that we can write an impressive personalised cover letter. While specific to one job, the structure of this cover letter can be reused for other jobs and we'll show you which parts can be adapted or replaced.
13. I want to apply to different types of jobs. Can I get multiple resume versions?
Our packages come with one resume. We encourage you to treat these as flexible resume that you adapt for each job application. If your target jobs are in the same general field and/or industry, this approach often works better than creating and juggling multiple resumes. It will also be much more cost-effective, as it takes a lot of additional time to professionally write alternate resumes.
14. Do I get anything other than a resume?
Three versions of your resume and a cover letter -- along with a LinkedIn profile -- are the tangible products you'll receive from us. However, our clients continually remark how much additional benefit they get out of the resume writing process. In particular, you will walk away with a much stronger grasp of the skills, experience, and achievements that make you unique and appealing to employers. 16. How and when do I pay?

Keep in mind that we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee on all of our packages and services.
